Cooperative Education
Chef Anna
Hi! My name is Chef Annamarie Pintozzi and I am passionate about teaching Cooperative Education and the CTE Academy!
Cooperative Education gives the students the opportunity to explore career choices and develop workplace skills valued by employers. I’ve amassed quite a range of experiences to draw from as I worked in corporate America for over 25 years before investing in my own local business and farms in Elizabeth, Illinois. I started teaching at the CTE Academy in 2015. Teaching has offered me the chance to give back to the community that I love and call home.
After attending DePaul University in Chicago, where I studied accounting, business, and finance, I worked in the restaurant business in many different capacities. This afforded me the opportunity to open restaurants in Egypt, Kuwait, and England. Realizing the growth potential in this field was endless, I attended the Culinary Institute of America in New York and earned my Pro Chef Certification. In my many positions, I was fortunate to work alongside some of the best chefs in the industry! In 2014, I became an instructor at the CTE Academy where I am certified to teach Cooperative Education, Culinary Arts, and Business.
In my free time, I love gardening, planting flowers, working on the farm, cooking, volunteering my time, and spending time with my family.
