SCHOOL SECRETARY OPENING

The Jo Daviess Carroll CTE Academy is seeking applicants for a Part-Time
School Secretary

$16 - $17/hr ($16,000 - $17,000) - IMRF ($1,440 - $1,530)
Paid holidays (Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, Presidents Day, Memorial Day and MLK Day)

Previous experience working in an office, school, or customer service setting is desirable.

DUTIES: 

- Answer phones and respond to inquiries with a professional demeanor. 
- Welcome and direct visitors appropriately. 
- Manage mail, email, and paper documents efficiently. 
- Assist teachers and staff with clerical tasks as necessary. 
- Maintain school records in electronic and paper format. 
- Schedule appointments and meetings and reminds attendees. 
- Report attendance to partner schools. 
- Order, organize, and maintain office supplies. 
- Learn and effectively use programs such as SIS, TeacherEase and Google Drive
- Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion. 
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the administration. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
- Strong computer and keyboarding skills. 
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email. 
- Familiarity with standard office equipment like copiers, fax machines, scanners, and printers.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative. 
- Strong multitasking abilities. 
- Attention to detail and ability to follow through. 
- A customer-oriented mindset and a willingness to help others.

PRESCHOOL TEACHER ASSISTANT OPENING

The Jo Daviess Carroll CTE Academy is seeking applicants for the Little Learners Preschool Teacher Assistant

27.5 hours per week Monday - Friday at $14.00 per hour.

MUST BE 18 years of age or older
