Hypnotik - an exploration into psychedelic visuals.
The Jo Daviess Carroll CTE Academy National Art Honor Society is excited to announce their 2nd annual print exhibit. The CTE Academy NAHS is an academic and service based club dedicated to spreading artistic awareness in self, in school, and in community. The exhibit theme, Hypnotik, was chosen by NAHS members. Student artists created their 2D designs focusing either on black & white or multi-color in the medium of their choice.
Work will be on display at the following locations: Elizabeth Public Library, Galena Public Library, Hanover Public Library, Mt. Carroll Public Library, Savanna Public Library, Scales Mound Library, Stockton Public Library, Warren Public Library, York (Thomson) Public Library, Chestnut Mountain Resort, Galena Center for the Arts, Jo Daviess Carroll CTE Academy, and the Regional Office of Education office. Work will be installed during the week of April 11, 2016 and taken down the week of May 9, 2016. Please contact the specific location to find out it's hours of operation.
The 2015-2016 CTE Academy NAHS is part of the national chapter and currently has 18 active members. Members have completed extensive art related community service this year under the leadership of chapter president Alli Barr (WC senior) and Irene Thraen-Borowski (CTE Academy graphics teacher/chapter sponsor) All prints are on sale for $10, proceeds go directly to the CTE Academy NAHS chapter.
